Full House has been a comfort show for many since it first aired in 1987. Full House ran for eight seasons before ending in 1995. Full House was responsible for the career kickstart of twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson, who played adorable Michelle Tanner on the show.

Before Danielle Fishel landed her role of Topanga Lawrence on Boy Meets World, she was a guest-star for two episodes on Full House. Fishel plays the role of Jennifer P. during Full House‘ sixth season. Jennifer is Stephanie’s overly mature classmate who pressures her to pierce her ears.

Danielle Fishel sparked a feud with her co-star, Bob Saget, who plays single father Danny Tanner on the show. Saget later referred to Fishel as a “tiny Bilbo Baggins” in an interview with Maxim.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is an NBA superstar who has also dipped into the acting industry. Widely known for his role as pilot in the comedy Airplane! , he also guest-stars in Full House. Abdul-Jabbar appears as himself in the episode Air Jesse during Full House‘s eighth season, where the Tanner gang are playing a celebrity basketball game called “Baskets For Bayview.”

Jesse is athletically incompetent and wants to show off. Abdul-Jabbar gives pointers to Jesse as the celebrity coach but Jesse’s sons fail to notice the skilled shots their dad is making.


8 Kirk Cameron Stars Alongside His Sister Candace

Kirk Cameron is recognized for his role as Mike Seaver in the 1980s sitcom Growing Pains. However, Cameron also has a famous younger sister, Candace, who plays DJ Tanner on Full House. Cameron appears as 17-year-old cousin Steve who is visiting San Francisco from Baltimore.

Cameron’s appearance is in only one episode, Just One Of The Guys during Full House‘s first season. The title of the episode references to how much time Steve spends with Danny, Jesse, and Joey and neglects his little cousins. Luckily, DJ and Steve eventually make up.


7 The Beach Boys Appear On Full House More Than Once

The Beach Boys on Full House

The Beach Boys took the 1960s by storms with their catchy hits. They appear several times on Full House, including the episode Beach Boy Bingo during season six. In the episode, DJ Tanner wins two concert tickets to see The Beach Boys from a cereal box.

DJ can’t decide on whether to bring her Uncle Jesse or her dad. This debate becomes a huge ordeal and DJ settles with her not going at all. Much to her surprise, the phone rings and The Beach Boys are in her living room. The musical group allows the entire Tanner clan to come to the concert and everybody is happy in the end.


6 Scott Baio Plays Jesse’s Reckless Friend

Scott Baio is known for his role as Chachi Arcola in the classic sitcom Happy Days. Baio also makes a cameo in Dr. Dare Rides Again during third season of Full House. Baio plays Pete Bianco, an old of Jesse’s who he hasn’t seen in three years.

Pete and Jesse reminisce about the good ol’ days and how Jesse earns his nickname “Dr. Dare.” Pete thinks that Jesse has grown soft and isn’t the same reckless person he once was. Jesse tries to prove him wrong by attempting a dangerous motorcycle stunt he did in his youth. The Tanner gang talks Jesse into his senses and nobody does any daredevil tricks that night.


5 Frankie Avalon Reunites With Annette Funicello

Frankie Avalon is a former teen sensation who had a career in acting and singing during the 1950s and ’60s. Avalon co-starred with the late actress and singer, Annette Funicello, in the 1963 comedy film Beach Party and production decided to make six more films. Avalon and Funicello later star as themselves in Joey Goes To Hollywood during the fourth season of Full House. 

Joey snags a part in the comedy show “Surf’s Up” which also stars Avalon and Funicello. Jesse has to explain to the girls who Avalon and Funicello are, and limits their fame to their roles in Beach Party. Ironically, Lori Loughlin, who plays Aunt Becky, plays Avalon and Funicello’s daughter in Back To The Beach. 


4 Mickey Rooney Plays A Shop Owner In Full House

The late Mickey Rooney is regarded as one of the most successful actors with a nine-decade career in the industry. Rooney was one of the last surviving actors from the silent film era so shocked fans when he appeared in Full House. Rooney appears in Arrest Ye Merry Gentlemen during Full House‘s eighth season. Rooney plays Mr. Dreghorn, an irritable owner of a toy shop.

Jesse and Michelle try to exchange a plastic party tie that Danny dislikes but Mr. Dreghorn refuses. It escalates when Mr. Dreghorn locks them in the store. Jesse and Michelle find out the root of Mr. Dreghorn’s problems and invite him over for dinner, which sees him reconcile with his daughter and the group is in the Christmas spirit again.




3 Little Richard Plays A Full House Character’s Uncle

The late Little Richard had a music career that spanned over seven decades, most notably during the 1950s when he released Tutti Frutti. He appears in Too Little Richard Too Late during the seventh season of Full House. Jesse surprises the family with Little Richard concert tickets but his sons, Nickey and Alex, cut them to use for their collage.

Jesse doesn’t give up immediately and the uncle of Michelle’s friend, Denise Frazer, comes over. Denise’s uncle turns out to be Little Richard himself and agrees to perform a concert at the Smash Club for the family.


2 Vanna White Plays Friendly Teacher On Full House

Vanna White has been revealing letters on Wheel Of Fortune since 1982. She appears as a guest-star in the The Test during the seventh season of Full House. In The Test, DJ and Kimmy worry about performing well on the SATs. Kimmy watches an episode of Wheel Of Fortune and says they could learn a thing or two from Vanna White.

1 Barry Williams Replaces Jesse In His Band

Barry Williams is well-known for his role as the eldest Brady son, Greg Brady, in the classic sitcom The Brady Bunch. Williams appears in Making Out Is Hard To Do during the eighth season of Full House. Williams stars as himself as a replacement lead singer for Jesse’s band The Rippers. Jesse refers to him as the “former Brady” and is angry at how much success Williams is bringing in for the band. Jesse fights back and forms a new band, Hot Daddy and the Monkey Puppets.
