10 Anime That Would Make Great Video Games

[ad_1]

It’s not uncommon for an anime to have a video game. Some anime are even based on video games. However, video games aren’t the draw for most anime fans so the work that’s put into them isn’t the same as an actual game studio like Rock Star Games or Ubisoft, which is unfortunate considering how well some anime would do as video games.

What makes video games so great is not just the graphics, but the stories they tell, and anime has a plethora of amazing stories. Getting a chance to step into the shoes of some of anime’s best characters could be a fun experience and would allow fans to immerse themselves into their favorite anime’s world.

10 It’s A Perfect Dating Sim (Ouran High School Host Club)

Ouran High School Host Club tells the story of Haruhi Fujioka and her experience as a member of her prestigious school’s host club. The story already sounds like a dating sim, but the art and characters really sell the idea of Ouran being a visual novel.

There are a plethora of fun characters and as the only sane one, Haruhi perfectly represents the player. It’s also interesting to think about the different paths that a player can take when playing the game. Haruhi ends up with Tamaki in the manga, but a game based on the series could be different.

The superhero society in My Hero Academia lends itself to video games. Superhero video games like Marvel’s Spider-Man are really good at using the character’s abilities to make an exciting game. It would definitely be exciting to explore all the different characters and their Quirks.

A video game about My Hero Academia could also explore the series’ school elements. Like the game Bully, which takes place in a school, this anime’s video game can explore being a hero while being a student as well.

8 The Tenchu Series But Better (Naruto)

Nothing sounds more fun than being a ninja. A video game about the series Naruto could have the parkour elements of Assassin’s Creed and the stealth elements of the Tenchu series. Plus, the plethora of characters in the series lends itself well to character customization and leveling.

Dr. Stone is a series about rebuilding civilization from the ground up. The basic plot alone would make for a pretty good game and there are already some successful mobile games with a similar concept. A video game about Dr. Stone could have the player rebuilding civilization and even customize their environment like The Sims.

The war with Tsukasa’s Empire is also an important aspect of the series, which could be represented as competitive elements between player kingdoms. A video game about Dr. Stone has a lot going for it.

Kiki flying next to seagulls

Kiki’s Delivery Service is a heartwarming adventure about a witch going out on her own for the first time. It’s a relaxing story and could also make for a pretty relaxing game. As a video game, Kiki’s Delivery Service is a lot like Animal Crossing but also shares some similarities with The Legend of Zelda series.

The point of both is to explore, customize and, meet new characters. A game about Kiki can do the same, but can also include her delivery service and flying. It’s a pretty simple movie but can make for one incredibly fun game.

3 An Amazing Pirate Adventure (One Piece)

One Piece Characters

One Piece has it all when it comes to potential video games. It has the sailing aspect of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and the exploration of Skyrim. There are a ton of characters to play as and awesome Devil Fruit powers.

The world of One Piece is so large, the possibilities are endless when it comes to video games. It could have elements like shipbuilding, crew recruitment, and battling. Not to mention, stuff like character customization and level building. One Piece truly lends itself to video gaming, it’s too bad it isn’t a game already.

The series about a high school girl Tohru who is trying to release the Sohma family from their Zodiac curse works perfectly as a visual novel. There is a whole cast of characters with different problems and personality traits and as the sweet airhead who interacts with them all, Tohru is the perfect stand-in for the audience.

The story is funny, tense and, dramatic but also has a butt load of romance. Plus, the series has beautiful artwork that would translate very well in the style of a visual novel.

1 A Fun Turn-Based RPG (Burn The Witch)

Burn the Witch is a short series with a whole lot of story. It involves witches like Kiki’s Delivery Service, but it isn’t the light-hearted story of a traveling witch. This series takes place in the same universe as Bleach and it’s easy to tell.

The epic fights and the use of magic would truly be amazing in video game form. This series has the potential to be an open-world game or even a turn-based RPG. Regardless of what type of game it would be, it’s definitely something that would be worth playing for hours at a time.
